Name: 김범 / Kim Bum
Birthdate: 1989-Jul-07

He's so cute! HAHAHA! I think I like him best in the Boys over Flowers. (:

I can't believe Goo Jun Pyo in real life is only 22 years old. He looks much older than that...

This is a totally bimbotic entry.

I am so bored right now that I have decided to take out all my report books and type out all the remarks in them. And the remarks my teachers have given me are all pretty positive 'cos I was such a nice kid. HAHAHAHAHA!

Pr 1H:
She has a pleasant disposition.
She is a steadfast and conscientious worker.

Pr 2Hope:
Quiet but willing to help others.
Read more English books to improve in the language. *oops*

Pr 3Grace:
She is a quiet and helpful girl. She has a happy and a cooperative attitude towards her schoolwork.
She is a quiet, hardworking and pleasant girl. She has worked hard and tried her best to make improvement. Continue to aim higher for better results next year.

Pr 4Grace:
She has done well this term. She has been striving to do better each term and has also been a great help to her teachers and friends.
She is a very pleasant girl and has shown progress this semester. By putting in more effort, improvement has been evident. Continue to work hard for even better grades next year!

Pr 5Diligence:
She is a mature and sensible girl. She has shown efforts to improve in her studies.
She is a quiet and independent worker. She has a good attitude towards school.

Pr 6Diligence:
She is a well-behaved pupil who is respectful to her teachers. She is diligent in her studies.
She is a sweet girl who respects authority. She is diligent in her daily work.

S1 1B:
She has done fairly well. Work harder.
She is a polite, diligent young lady. She has produced good results this year, though she needs to put more effort into Chinese and English. Keep up the good work in secondary two. *'cos my Chinese was B3, English B4 while the rest were A1s and A2s. I was a genius in secondary one*

S2 2B:
She is a very well-behaved and conscientious girl. She has shown very positive and encouraging results! *I am convinced this teacher was being nice. My results were B4, B3, A2, B4, B3, C6, B4, A2, A2*
She is generally very steady. She is serious and mature for her age and she is responsible. A good student! Keep up the good work!

S3 3D:
She is a capable and hardworking student who has shown good results. She is a pleasant girl who needs to be more vocal in class. *good results: B3, A2, B4, B3, C5, A1, B4, A2*
She take [sic] great pride in her work and should continue to strive for distinctions. *I only had 3 distinctions. The rest: B4, D7 (Chemistry), B3, B4, B3*

S4 4D:
She takes her studies very seriously and always seems well-organised and efficient.
She has carried out her duties as class vice-chairman with initiative and dependability. She is also extremely dedicated towards her studies.

The general adjectives are always used to describe me and it seems I did not change much in the 10 years. I was pleasant from primary one all the way to sec3. HAHA! I shall do my JC ones when I am bored again. There'll be more fun stuff there - every subject teacher is going to remark on me...

Another much anticipated meet up with old friends.

We last met up last year after Jack’s some sort of ceremony. The NS has too many acronyms I cannot understand. Anyway, it was after he passed out of the OCS – whatever that is called. The point is that was more than half a year ago.

Jack suggested Es Teler 77, an Indonesian restaurant outlet at the basement of Cineleisure. Nice food, about the price of food court. I ate the Nasi Goreng. Nice nce nice! (:

Prior to that, I alighted at the bus stop in front of Somerset MRT station and wanted to walk to cine. I ended up at the MRT control station. Zzz. I have no idea when was the last time I have been to Orchard but it is definitely not within this year. I felt so stupid. Argh.

We talked about a lot of things, some of which if I have heard of them last year or the year before last, I would have felt a little disappointed, a little disheartened and a little envious. But last night I felt none of those things. Maybe I have moved on, maybe I have looked past some things. I hope I have moved on, it seems unhealthy to cling to something that will have happen. If it were going to happen, something would have happened already.

And good news! We will very likely be meeting next month too! Provided Jack can get out of camp on a week day. (:

i realized I don't do them anymore. During my teenage years, when I was frequently writing letters to pen pals and friends, I used to do them all the time and think nothing of it. I used to do them more religiously than I do my homework and I can spend all the time I had at home doing them and even enjoy the process of doing them!

Now, I balk at the thought of even writing one of such notes, let alone for the whole class which I used to do. It is not that I have nothing to write; I know I have a lot to write, given time. I just find that email or instant messaging my friends have become so much easier than writing. I guess the technology age has caught up with me. People have been criticizing this aspect of technology for so long and now I can finally understand the situation.

Maybe it is time to pick up a pen and start writing notes for my loved ones. (:

Yep, I went to LauPaSat last night. With HuiQi and HuiMin. A long overdue meet up, like all other meet ups. I think the most we ever ever met up was 5 times a year? HM's birthday, my birthday, HQ's birthday, Christmas and maybe CNY.

But we still have lots to talk about, lots to catch up on, lots to complain about. Haha. I can't say the same for some people who I see almost every school day and yet have nothing to talk about, not even a 'hi'. Oh well. Whatever.

Anyway, we went to the Satay corner, where a lot of ang mohs are, as well. Like all ang mohs like to eat satay. Wonder why. They ordered satay. Then there was zi char. Stingray, Ma Po tofu, Tom Yum soup, Pineaple fried rice.

But the highlight was the dessert. Mango Sunrise. The ice cream at the top was great! Really creamy. (:

Next weekend, meeting with HuiQi and Jack. Hopefully in July, we girls can meet up again. In the meantime, still got a lot of friends to meet up.

BUT BUT BUT! FOC is in a month's time too! I will be suuuper busy. Went to look at the restaurant at Temasek Club. Good ambience. The catering sales manager, Martin, was quite nice. No rent for the restaurant, they are going to block out the whole restaurant for us, waive the mocktail fee, rent the PA system for us for free, and lower the price of the buffet to $13 per pax, and waive the 10% service charge. It is quite a good deal but I have no idea where the catch is.

If given this deal at the start of the year, I would have gushed and said he's such a nice person and he's really really giving us such a good deal. But after the NUS Open House collaboration with CW fiasco, I am inclined to be more reserved in my opinions. Afterall, I have no idea how the business world worked and the collaboration was a disaster. I wasn't sure if we were on the winning end. We were more like the losers.

For now, FOC has a huge deficit. Which is why we should have stated a higher camp fee. Should have collected $55. $5 wouldn't be a huge difference for the campers but it'll be a huge difference for us! What with the high cost of food, lodgings, transportation, camp t-shirt and singlet, Temasek Club dinner, and the game materials. AHHHHH. I am going mad with all the limited budget we are given by the OSA and the high cost.

A CCA doing a FOC camp with lower participation target and lesser OGLs have a budget twice of ours! Where's the logic?! My friend said it's how the club treasurer fights for the money. I wouldn't know, but if that is the case, shouldn't we be getting more?

This is damn worrying. I don't wish for this year's FOC to be a flop. Dammit.

Well, I am finally going to blog about my Kota Kinabalu trip (7-10 May 2009). Have been doing up the Design & Environment Camp 2009 blog for the past week such that by the time I finish all the stuff, I am too sick of blogger to want to update my own blog.

Morris was the local guide and he told of interesting facts and figures of the area.

My favourite of the whole trip is the Sabah Foundation Building. The Sabah Foundation Building is a 30 storey circular glass building supported by high tensile steel rods through a central building. I cannot remember the exact number of glass they used though. Morris said that the glass is able to reflect 99% of the sun radiation which makes it an uber green building (though BCA is building a zero energy building). Believe it or not, it was built in 1977. An architectural and engineering feat. And it is one of only 4 such buildings in the world. I never would have thought to see such a building in KK! And it is a lonely building, sticking out like a sore thumb in an area of forest.

Sabah Foundation Building

Hotel room toilet. I like the shower head a lot.

How to start a fire with just bamboo.

Reminds me a little of Mae Hong Son. I miss that place... Sigh.

The canopy walk. A lot longer than Singapore's and narrower and less stable. Fun!

the very beautiful mosque set 0n the water. Supposed to have cooling properties.

Mt. Kinabalu. The highest peak in Southeast Asia. I went to the foot of it. I set foot on Mt. Kinabalu! hahahahaha.

Beautiful sunset...

Exams are finally over. I got owned. All 5 modules. If I do get an A miraculously, it'll be because my mid term results were good. Or everyone else were owned by the final examination too...

Time to look forward. Walk on. No looking back. Next up, Kota Kinabalu. After that, FOC prep. Wish me luck. I think I am going to work my ass off.

You know, suddenly I cannot think of what to blog about. Must be the (relatively) long hiatus. Or maybe my life just isn't that exciting at the moment. I may blog about Kota Kinabalu after I return. We'll see. (:
