Last weekend, Think it was a Saturday, me n my sis went out at 10am to Singapore Post to do some stuff and decided to walk to Parkway Parade via Joo Chiat Road. Somewhat like a exploration day. (:

But before we could even start walking to PP, we stopped by Geylang Serai Hawker Centre for chicken rice. Maybe you'd to guess if she's eating chili or chicken? haha.

This is on Joo Chiat Road. Dong Fan Zhi Zhu wor. sounds like Spider of the East. Lol. And there are many other hilarious names on Joo Chiat Road, mostly the pubs and massage palours.

My new things! the body pillow is shioookness. It's about the size of 2 pillows combined. (: From Aussino de. (: oh, it looks like a big fat worm on my bed right? Haha. Now I can't decide whether I like my body-pillow more or my blanket. Lol.

let me describe to u a person. tell me how old u think the person is. he watches TV at least 5 hours a day. I wake up to see him watching TV. I go out and come back to see him still watching TV. I go to sleep when he is still watching TV. And he watches the new kids central #okto. he watches cartoon the whole damn fucking day.

i swear, my brother, who is 18 this year, is mentally 3 years old. oh ya, please note that the electricity is set to increase by 21%. And I'd say he will be the reason for the sharp increase in electricity bill. i have not watch my daily dosage of 1 hour of TV for the past 4 days cos he is always hogging the goddamn fucking TV.

and he wonders why i am not talking to him. fucking bird brain. oh wait. let's call him a amoeba. they've got no brain. i am so pissed off with him. and the fact that he gets to watch so much TV and no one scolds him. and when i watch my 1 hour of TV, my father told me not to keep watching TV.

HELLO?! who the fuck has been watching TV?

and one more thing. he moved the bloody PC into my room and comes into my room to play fucking Warcraft and take my fan. i dun need the fucking PC in my room. and i want my privacy. stop intruding in my space, damn you.

i might just stay in PGP for the next year. i can't wait for the day he enlists. 1 more year. Aeriel, you can survive til then.

May 18, the movie

Lee Jun Ki (My Korean shuai ge)

Ahn Sung Ki (respected retired soldier)

Have just finished watching the Korean movie, May 18, the military violent crackdown of the ‘rebels’ in the town of Gwang-ju. The film is pretty good in the sense that it examines the consequences of the crackdown on different groups of people – the students, the teachers, the ex-miltants, the civilians, the family-man, and even the dilemma faced by some of the people in the military towards such untoward behaviour. The whole of 9 days of ‘rebellion’ and crackdown was condensed into 2 hours, making it somewhat too compacted, maybe even not accurate due to the time constraint. However, there was the portrayal of media censorship at work by the military, the covering up of deaths of the civilians, the glorifying of the military. And there is the foreign media which reported the truth of the situation, which gave people in the town hope to live again.

On a more personal level, my Korean shuai ge Lee Jun Ki died less than 1 hour into the 2 hour show. And I think that the respected retired officer is a man just perfect for the role. He just has the air of command, the calm during nerve-wrecking situations and the charisma to lead the civilians in the defence of the town, and not to mention, he looks a little Japanese.

Oh, and the movie is a tear-jerker. Or maybe I am just a cry-baby.

Nonetheless, it’s a darn good show! And it stars Lee Jun Ki! A must-watch! (:

uni semesters are so short... 5 more weeks to exams. that's pretty fast. i cant imagine having to learn micro and macro econs in 1 sem when i took 2 years and still could not understand.

Lovers in Paris looks like an interesting drama. maybe i will go buy the DVD. but the male leads are kinda ugly leh... :x

Yesterday I walked from Science Fac all the way to Heng Mui Keng busstop with a friend. Ain't I healthy? Haha. I am exercising. Lol.

Talking and walking, I realised a lot of things. i am still digesting them. the thoughts are relatively disturbing.

I hope I will get to go Cameroon Highlands this hols. I think my mom is thinking about it. (: Tea plantation, HERE I COME! haha

Lay Kuan, u rock! haha.

Last Sat when we met up at Breeks, Lay Kuan gave me her 1GB mem card cos she changed her phone (again). Haha. So now I have upgraded my SE phone mem card from a PATHETIC 64MB to 1GB. What a world of difference!

I now can put over 200 songs inside when previously I could only put about 20. I now can take HUNDREDS of photos when previously I could only take about 30. Whee~

And Lay Kuan has a lot of songs in her mem card. I love all the Korean drama serials songs! hee~

Thanks so much, babe! (:

Not for the first time I celebrate my single hood. Today, most of all, I am glad I do not have to report to anyone else other than my parents. I was discussing with a friend today that there are more reasons not to get into a relationship than there is to get into one.

The troubles, the misunderstandings, the quarrels, the making up, the compromising, the heartache... I may not have been through it but I have seen people around me falling in love, and then out of love. And I think, what is the point? It's a vicious cycle.

Oh well, to each his own. Maybe years down the road, revisiting this entry, I could be happily attached and not even remember having wrote this. Maybe years down the road, I may have counter-arguments to this. But for now, this is how it shall be. (:

Gary seems to be married le.

Here's what he wrote on his blog

To: my dearest fans and media

Like everyone else we all have special moments in our journey call life. We are always gratified when we meet someone special. We want to be a person that our friends and family are proud of and I am no exception. I’ve arrived at this very moment of my life where I feel fulfilled and complete.

Music remains as my no. 1 passion and I love life even more than ever. It’s just that I am now sharing my life and happiness with this special person that I’ve found. I want to thank all my fans and friends who truly love me and for continuing to support me for who I am. Thank you for your unconditional love. I’m indeed a very blessed and happy man. I now have a better understanding on what life is truly about. Like everyone else, I will live my life to the fullest. I wish that everyone could feel the way I feel now, full of joy and love, through my music.

Love and Peace.

He's not a good guy but at least he's not bad. He has principles, he has courage, he has integrity but he has bad habits as well. Oh well, one more eligible man down. The world has lesser to offer already. And I really don't think that his is a shotgun marriage.

Love N peace, indeed. (:
I await your new music.

AERIEL'S CRAVINGS

BBQ Sotongs on a stick from the streets of Thailand, coupled with the super duper spicy chili sauce that they have. Yes, there is a masochist in me when it comes to good food.

BBQ chicken heart on a stick from the streets of Thailand as well. How I miss the roadside stalls in Bangkok! Bring me back to BKK!!!!

Claypot rice... I haven't eaten one for years...

I want to eat the thick crust ones... preferably stuffed crust.

I have so many cravings and half of them found only on the streets of Thailand... Bring me back to Bangkok... I miss that place, not just the food...

I am hoping they will win the Super Band this time

But logic tells me that it is impossible. So I am not watching the show at all. Singaporeans are so conservative Yi Shi Jie will never win. Just look at the previous Super Band and all the singing competitions like SG Idol, SuperStar etc. All the ones who will ever win are not the ones that stands out the most. They are all the super ordinary people who can sing relatively well. Not much attitude, not much personality. Super Boring.

You will never find rockers (heavy metal or soft) or bands with a dark edge winning. They either get kicked out early or make it into the semi-finals and proceed to get kicked out. So why bother watching?

I will watch local shows only when I cannot predict the outcome anymore.

I was just watching Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO) again and at this particular scene, all I could think of is that this wall is a non load-bearing wall. And then I was like, WTF? Where did that come from?! PFM. This is what it will do to you...

And everytime I pass by a construction site, I will try to see what in the site that I can identify....

It all started with the game "Who has the Biggest Brain?" on Facebook. The professor looking character said that he has "seen" me do better than what I scored. That is sooooo Mr Tan KH.

And I found this blog. This girl has got to be much younger than me. She's only Sec3... That makes her a 1993 baby!!!! Now I feel so old. Haha. Anyway, she from the same Sec Sch (something I seldom admit to) as me and Tan KH is her chemistry teacher. He said she is a "pretty girl, but lazy". That's so him that i LOL!

He said I was being complacent toward the O Levels period just because I scored a B3 for Chem. I was so pissed off and I proved him wrong with a 90+ score for the next test. But he did give credit where it due la. He taught us Sec 3 and 4 stuff in Sec 4 cos a very incompetent teacher took us for Sec 3. I think he's really cool. :) I remember I did not even know that KI --> K+ + I- in Sec 3...I think I did not even know any Chem back then. Haha.

I fell in love with Chem after he started teaching us and out of love with Physics. :x

Thank god for teachers like him. Teachers who want the best for their students and are willing to go back to school during holidays and Saturdays just to help us catch up with our work. And teachers who are willing to stay back late in school in the library to help the weaker students. Yes, Mr Tan Kee Hoe is all that. And more. (:
