My Thai teacher told us a joke today. This Thai guy, Punchit Fakmii(pronounce it out loud), wanted to go to USA. So he went to apply for a Visa but got rejected. The immigrations told him that his name was too impolite and suggested he changed his name.
Punchit Fakmii returned one month later to see the same immigrations officer to reapply for a Visa with a more polite name - Punchit Fakmiiplease. The joke got the whole class laughing so hard! Freaking funny. To be fair, my teacher actually was very reluctant to tell the joke saying there were too many ladies around (which is like, 80% of the class?). But we persisted. On a side note, I am glad I have secured 20% of my marks for PF1103, IT for Projects. We had 2 quiz, one 6% another 14%. I got full marks for the first one (with some help from someone) and 12/14 for the second. But because there was moderation and that the prof added 2 marks to everyone in the class, I got full marks for both quiz. (: But for EC1301 Introductory Economics, I have only secured 26% out of 45% for mid semester. Super depressed. I hope can get at least a B-. LAT1201 Thai 1 and NM1101E Communications, New Media and Society are doing fine. I think I can expect at least a B+ for both. Although the same cannot be said for PF1104 Environmental Science for Building. I seriously should start watching those web casts.... Exams starts next Saturday, 25April2009. Ends on 4May2009. After which I think I will be going to Sabah on 7May2009 to 10May2009 with my parents. It should be confirmed already. Don't want to think so far yet. I need to convince myself to study now, instead of doing everything else. -aeRieL-

Friday: I dragged my brother to Tampines 1. It opened the day before and my mother was telling me about Uni Qlo. We did not go in cos there was a 40minute queue. Anyway, the whole shopping centre was filled to the brim! It reached saturation point! Well, almost, at least. Infiltration rate slowed down drastically and the escalator from the ground floor to the next was so crowded! But I found a woooonderfullllll bakery shop at the basement called Yamazaki. Oh, I am a BIGGGG fan of bread. (: Other than that, I don't think there's anything special. The poor business at TM and Century Square. I would suggest they sell their units there and move over to Tampines 1. Oh wait. Tampines 1 opened with full occupancy, though only 80% or so opened on time.
Saturday: I went over to Malaysia with my sister. It's our first time going to the new customs (we took the bus from Queens Street). The interior was very impressive. It felt like the arrival hall of an airport. We went to City Plaza, then Plaza Pelangi (where we ate lunch) then went on to Holiday Inn Plaza. Lunch was especially fine! We went to this place called.... I cannot remember... Gee. Anyway, pictures! My sister said the last time she ate at this restaurant was in Sri Lanka. They've got this chilli sauce made from Peri Peri (a type of chilli). Quite spicy but it is also sour. The chicken was.. Wooo-Hooo! Delicious beyond words! And we did pedicure at Holiday Inn. RM15 nia - express pedi. So damn cheap can. But me being a klutz that I am, I destroyed one paint job the moment I stepped out of the shopping centre into the cab. (&*^&$%#$ I had not even the chance to take a photo of it! so what you see is the ruined one. Yes, that right. It's green. (: -aeRieL-

26/02/06 - this is the day i started blogging. 3 years old and counting... After 3 years of playing around with blog skins, with blogging, I am starting to feel too old to be changing blogskins every once in a while. I am now toying with the idea of a simple layout, with less than 3 colours and a blog without archives. The reason - so that no one can dig up my past entries and use it against me. Am I being paranoid? After taking new media, I think I am. Haha.
Especially since in my early days, I was so filled with angst and all my entries are angry and depressing. And not to mention the entries of me criticising people from all walks of life, though there were no racist comments. i am a racial harmonious person. (: Don't laugh. So, you will never see more than the 10 entries or so on my page. Don't even think of digging up those old entries. Not good for you or me to relive my old history. All the angst and the thoughts of dying and emo-ism. No good, no good. I am looking forward to posting my weekend activities soon. (: I had a wonderful weekend. Friday - Tampines 1, Saturday - Malaysia, Sunday - Sun Plaza. (: -aeRieL-

![]() 5April 5, 2009 was such a good day. (: I went to AJ first in the morning. We were supposed to meet at 11am. But I happily thought 33/06 being 33/06, surely people will be late. What I did not realize is that all the people I was going to meet were the ones who are never late. Zzz. So I was still at my house bus stop at 10.38am when Daryl called me and asked where we were. I was like, I’m sure nobody has reached... In my head I was thinking, “Oh shit. I am still at my house bus stop and he’s already in school! Should I tell him?!” But I decided not to say, I just told him I’ll call him when we reach. Lol. Anyway, I reached YCK station at 11.15am (not too bad huh? My house is quite near! :P) to see Alvina, Yong Yong and her bf there already. *Opps* We walked to school in what could possibly be called a drizzle to meet Sylvia at the gate. After which we met up with Hui Jie, Kelvin, Wen Zhao, Daryl and Choon Hang. As we walked into the auditorium, I saw Jack walking out of it. 真没默契。。。Managed to talk to him a quite a while. He was with MX. Somehow, MX looks shorter… We bought a coupon each, of which I only spent $1.50, leaving me with $3.50 unspent. Oh well. It doesn’t matter. In the meantime, it started to pour. We then decided to go to AMK Hub for lunch. Ah... AMK Hub, my favorite hangout place back in JC2. (: I had to take bus home from there anyway, so I was there every day. The NTUC is the best! I love walking down every aisle. (: We talked to Ms Chan and Ms Zhu and I waved to Mr Mok. Then I had to leave for NUS, where there was the Songkran aka the Thai New Year aka 泼水节 (water splashing festival?). I reached there at about 4pm with my brother. There were performances by the Thai 5 and 6 students, South East Asian Studies students and a real Thai performer! The whole performance ended at 5.30pm. Nearing the end of the performance I saw Mr Mok pushing a pram out of the LT (cos I was standing by the door). I was like, did I see wrongly?! Nope, it was really him. Surprise surprise. It turned out that his brother is actually in Thai 2. Oh, our Chinese class heard of his brother during his class. He was from the Navy. I was certainly interested to see his bro cos my impression of the Navy people is tanned V-shaped bodies. And last semester LK took a same module as his bro. I finally saw his bro today! He was very fair but very tall. (: His brother must be some language genius – taking Chinese and Thai1 (I am assuming since one has to take Thai1 before one can take Thai2 unless one has prior knowledge of the language) last semester. Anyway, my bro was complaining that he wanted to go already so we skipped the refreshment part and went off to Vivo City. I realized I am looking at English words from the Thai pronunciation angle more often than ever. It makes every word look super weird. I was doing Econs tutorial just now and I thought that the “shirt” spelling looks weird. Zzz. After exams (I know, examination has not even started. But it pays to plan ahead. :P), it’ll be a period of meet-ups! Meeting up with 33/06! OCIP mates – HuiQi, HuiMin, Jack! 6Diligence! It will a hectic 2 months worth of SDE FOC preparation! It will be the celebration of a lot of people’s birthdays – I realized I know a lot of May babies. It will be a time to partyyy! Have fun! (: Uh, ya. Before that, I plan to do well for this semester. I am aiming for at least a 4.1 to pull my 3.9 to 4.0 so that I can try my luck at scholarships. (: And for at least one semester, I want to be on the Dean’s list! Not this semester – not with Econs and Environmental Science for Buildings. Please let me do well enough! 4.1! Go go go! I am most worried about the Thai oral exam now – it is next Monday and we are supposed to converse on a given topic. As long as I can do reasonably well for that, my Thai should be fine. (: -aeRieL-

OMFG. I just started watching Grey's Anatomy yesterday on Channel 5 and the next day, I watched the final episode. ARGH! Just when I thought it was so interesting and that I still want more of it! Damn!
Oh, Grey's Anatomy was airing at 2am on Channel 5. I stumbled across it cos I would not tell the time. I wanted to watch the re-run of 100% Entertainment (a Taiwanese variety show) at 1am but set the alarm clock at 1.58am. HAHA. Oh ya, I have not watch 100% entertainment for more than a month because of my timetable. None of my days end before 6pm (the show is at 5pm everyday) and I can never stay awake till 1am to watch the rerun. I had withdrawal symptoms for a while cos it was really entertaining. And not to mention, there was 小鬼 to look forward to. (: But recently, I am not able to sleep at night so I stumbled across Grey's Anatomy. AHHH! What a waste. I really would have watched it at 3am. ): -aeRieL-
