Twilight, the movie
If the movie and the book could combine whereby the development is that of the book and the ending is that of the movie, it would be a good story.

The movie, very likely due to time constraint, seems to be underdeveloped. Many details that the uninitiated would need in order to understand the story development is not included, the relationship between Bella and Edward was fast forwarded by quite a bit, Bella’s human friends are not introduced much and are quite different from the original plot… And my biggest dissatisfaction is that the 2 main characters seem wholly unfamiliar with each other and behave rather awkwardly. I really do prefer the pace in the book, the development of their relationship and their voices in the book. Maybe there just isn’t enough time to put in all the emotions into the short time…

That aside, the Cullens and Hales are really unbelievable! The director definitely found the right people to star as the Cullens and Hales. They are downright beautiful. Especially Alice and Carlisle! And the development of the James and Edward faceoff in the movie was a big plus-point. At least there were some fighting and conclusion on how James died. But I didn’t like the fact that in the movie, Edward was portrayed with the inability to stop sucking the blood of Bella when he was able to in the book.

My bro didn’t like the movie. He said it is obvious that the director was a woman (and he is right) and it was very girly. He said there were too much character development and too little fisticuffs. I wouldn’t give the movie a high rating, most probably 3/5. Not a fail grade cos the actors and actresses were as beautiful as described in the book and there were attempts to capture the essence of the characters. Good thing I only paid $7 to watch the show.

I went out to shop after the show. I spent loads but at least I’ve done half of my shopping for the month. Presents for the December babies are half done and I am not buying anything for anyone for Christmas this year. Haha. My brother got really bored while waiting for me to do my shopping. Opps. :P
