Aeriel feels so stupid today. Today’s LSM1301 General Biology is a whole big mess of terminolgies and nothing else. All the phospholipids, saccarides, mitochonraic or what not. It’s as clear as muddy water to me and the lecturer speaks as if we were born knowing these terms and what they mean. And the best part is students who have A Level Biology cannot take this course. Which means that most who are taking this module are noobs in biology. It’s crazy, really.
On the other hand, I am enjoying GEK2001 Changing Landscapes of Singapore. (: It’s interesting, and the Teaching Assistant (TA) and lecturer are really great. Although the tutorial is 2hours long, I felt no stress in the tutorial class and I even ventured to answer questions and voice my opinion, which is a miracle by itself since I ususally do not talk in geog tutorials, especially in J1. I still remember the traumatising globalisation tutorial where I learned that globalisation is a PROCESS. As if that helps. No wonder I never understood or liked globalisation in the geographical context. The Toyota case study, the Keiratsu, the shift in manufacturing and stuff. PF1101 Fundamentals to Project Management and PF1102 Visualisation in Design and Technology are getting so interesting. It’s a whole new field of study for me. It’s so exciting to learn new things that are tangible, that I can see happen. The construction of a building/ house. The amount of insulation needed for one house, the work that goes into building a house, the kind of opportunities I have in the future, although I have no intention of working in the construction site. It’s sounds like an exciting future now, although I expect to be bored or sick of it by the time I have to work. Haha. ST1131 Introduction to Statistics is another boring module. And it’s such a pain. We cannot use GC anymore, and I have no idea how to find the standard deviation and whatever one has to compute for statistics. And the TA was anything but good. And he did not mark attendance. Does that mean I can don’t go for the next tutorial? I think I can learn more myself than listening to him for that half an hour of tortured English and the lack of ‘s’ when there should be ‘s’s. Overall, I’d say it’s not that bad, since I’m enjoying 3 out of 5 modules. (: But there are already 3 projects. 2 from PF1101 and 1 from GEK2001. ): I’ve finally found Cecilia Ahern’s A Place Called Here. (: I hope it will be as tear-inducing as her previous books P.S. I Love You and Rosie Dunn. (: -aeRieL-
