It's been raining non-stop for the past few days. I'd guess the monsoon season is upon on us. I don't know whether to rejoice or despair. It's a great reprieve from the heat and high humidity in past few months. On the other hand, it's making traveling a pain in the ass.
The rain stopped for a while in the afternoon and I decided to take advantage of the sunshine to run some errands. :) Went to Bugis, intending to renew my bus concession which expires today. But the ticketing office is closed due to machine breakdown. And stupid me never thought about going to the control station to renew the concession. =\ Walked to NLB to return a book, browse through the books there and then walked to Dhoby Ghaut to renew the concession. Walked to Plaza Sing. to get LJS's fries as snack. Then I took 36 to Parkway to buy a box of batteries (like, finally). Decided to walk around a bit and I walked into Sembawang Music Store. They were playing some great music. Sounded like rock. Bought Eason Chan's "Don't Wanna Let Go" album (the first album of his that I've ever bought) and found out that the album that they were playing was "The best of Black Sabbath". I guess I've heard of that band before but never read any of their reviews or interviews. Just went to check it out on wikipedia and guess what, they went back to 1968 under the name Earth. Talk about old! But their music's really great. They are classified under Heavy Metal. Sounds good, no matter. It's a fact that I've never listened to heavy metal before. Now I'm thinking if I should get that album. :) -aeRieL-
