5 April 2008, Saturday
OMG! i'm so touched by my classmates! they came down to my shop and accompanied me for 4 hours plus! yup. very touched by their gesture. especially when i seems as if they've wasted the afternoon cos there's practically nothing to do here. yes, it's that bad, considering that today's a Saturday. the sales i made is insignificant. aini, yujia, sylvia, james were great fun! haha. miss them so much. and i think i've never talked to james this much before. we took vastly different subject combinations and he's always sleeping in the Nexus or something. lol. my boss had to go off to Dubai for some business related visit and left me to tend the shop 11 hours/ day for a week or more and today is only the first day. but that would also mean that i don't have to go down to my uncle's place on Sunday! MUAHAHAHA! that's a great thing cos the food usually suck and i have nothing to do there cos i'm not close to any of my cousins. was reading Jia Jie's blog that day and came across the entry on 27/03/2008 and i've got to admit that that entry is more like the Jia Jie i know. haha. i hope his Christian friends are still his friends cos it's really not worth losing a friend over religious issues especially when one can choose one's religion. 6 April 2008 OMFG! Sg is DAMN rich! The largest soverign wealth funds(SWFS) -- the so-called Super Seven, which includes China, Russia, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Norway and two SINGAPORE funds -- controls up to $1.8 trillion. the Wealth of Nations. Time magazine, Dec 17, 2007 yes, yes, i just read it... 8 April 2008 i'm very tempted to learn driving recently cos there're a few people learning driving at the carpark in front of Leisure Park. it's so intersting to see them do parallel parking and stuff. but as i read of the rising oil prices and with my knowledge of the car taxes in SG plus COE plus the price of the car, i decided not to go for the tests anymore. taking bus is infinitely cheaper although it still stops my heart to see a trip from home to Orchard costing $1++. in the long run, i still save more than people who drive. :D i'm going to complain. so if you don't wish to see it, you can scroll up now. i really really really wish the boss will HURRY UP AND FLY OVER TO DUBAI AND BACK AGAIN! DOES SHE EVEN KNOW HOW TEDIOUS IT IS TO WORK 11 HOURS IN A SHOPPING MALL THAT IS EQUIVALENT TO A BLOODY GHOST TOWN?!THERE IS NO SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT NOR SATISFACTION TO BE DERIVED FROM THE JOB. THERE IS NO INTERNET CONNECTION FOR ME TO USE. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME FOR ME TO DO MY OWN THINGS. I WORK 7 DAYS A WEEK, 11 HOURS A DAY. THAT LEAVES ME WITH ONLY 13 HOURS, MINUS 8 HOURS FOR SLEEP, 2 HOURS FOR GETTING READY FOR WORK + LAZING IN BED + EATING BREAKFAST, 1 HOUR FOR TRAVELLING TO AND FROM WORK, I ONLY HAVE 2 HOURS FOR MYSELF. IT'S NOT ENOUGH TO GO TO THE LIBRARY AND BACK. IT'S NOT ENOUGH FOR ME TO GO OUT FOR A DINNER WITH FRIENDS. I AM NOT ABOUT TO COMMIT MYSELF TO THIS STINKING JOB AND FORGO MY FUCKING OFF DAYS AND HOLIDAYS. GOING TO SCHOOL BEATS THIS WORKING HOURS. WAIT TIL YOU ARE BACK AND I'M GOING TO CLAIM ALL THE OFF DAYS I FORGONE AND SEE HOW YOU CAN STAND STAYING IN THE SHOP FOR 11 HOURS FOR 4 CONSECUTIVE DAYS AND COUNTING. I'm a no-lifer not by choice but by circumstances, dammit. -aeRieL-
